iPhone Video Recording Interface and more…

Posted April 7th, 2009 in 3.0, iPhone, iPhone OS by J.

TUAW Macrumors say they have confirmed the settings have been found that puts to rest any doubt that Apple will be incorporating video in the next official major release of their firmware.  I know this is a big one for me.  Who needs a Flip Mino when your iPhone can do all the recording for you?  Click the link to find the other interesting features that were uncoverd.

iPhone Video Recording Interface, Digital Compass, Voice Control and Auto-Focus Camera – Mac Rumors

The interface shows the normal iPhone camera interface but with a switch on the bottom right which toggles between still camera photography and video recording. The video recording is not presently functional in iPhone 3.0 beta, and the interface is not accessible by default. Only when configuration files were modified telling the firmware that a Video Camera was present will this interface appear.

If all these rumors turn up in this upcoming firmware update plus new iPhone hardware. I’ll be at Apple’s door this summer. Kiss my iPhone 2G goodbye.

It doesn’t matter what they put out. I’ll be in line no matter what. But it looks like there could be a line to contest with after-all :(
