That title couldn’t be more truthful. Apple has taken everything and rolled it all into one device. Everyone knows the story of the iPhone’s Evolution, so I won’t go into that here. However I’d like to bring up several strong points. First off Apple has geared a majority of the iPhone capabilities to the business end moreso then the consumer end. By this I mean every Apple event I’ve seen since iPhone’s launch focuses on email, safari web browsing, and more of the same. Yes they do mention the iPod that’s on the device and the gaming, but not extensively. At least not as extensively as I would like. After upgrading to the 3G I’m noticing more and more stuff I like about this device.

The games on the iPhone are awesome. With titles like iShoot, Tetris, The Price Is Right, Monopoly, and so many more it is just amazing what this device has done in nearly three years. Then there’s the movie/tv/music videos watching through the iPod app. I personally really enjoy this, because of the fact that it’s like having a portable TV everywhere ya go. This is so much better then the generic portable televisons of the late 80′s and early 90′s.

Thanks to Mobile Mike for telling me how to get screenshots from the iPhone. Since I’ve learned how to do this, I’ve found you can take a screenshot of anything. This is awesome for wanting screenshots of TV Shows or movies. I only can see positive things coming from Apple when it comes to the iPhone’s future.
It is easily the best cell phone I’ve ever had and I started my cell phone life with a Nokia 918. That nokia was easily the worst phone ever. Of course that was in the heyday of cell phones and friggin 50 cent a minute calling. There are other phones that I’ve had over the years like the nokia 5120 and subsequent 5190. The coolest aspect of those cells was the fact that they have interchangeable faceplates, and the game Snake! I used to play that for hours on end. Half the time I had to have the phone plugged in because I’d always run the battery down playing snake.

My only real issue sometimes with iPhone is the keys and the autocorrect. Sometimes I truly think it’s not learning the words I type. So after the 5190 I have the nokia I believe is was 8595 I can’t remember. This was the updated version of the 5120/5190. My only gripe about this one was that it didn’t have snake on it. Now that I think about it I think the first version of that phone I had was the 5595 and became the 8595. I still am not 100% sure… if anyone has a definitive answer tweet at me tfg1podcast. Below is the phone I’m talking about.

I know that this article has slightly gone off topic, but I felt that my cell history needed to be shown. All in all I think that I will never have another cell phone other then the iPhone. Even though there are a few features that it lacks overall for me it’s the best thing ever when it comes to cell phones.

Totally agree about the iPhone's gaming capabilities. They really came up with a great gaming console platform that many developers have taken advantage of. This is one of the few places where I have always felt that Apple excels at, great hardware platforms for their OSes!

Totally agree about the iPhone's gaming capabilities, not so much the business side of it(Safari Browser, etc…), but definitely the gaming and media side. They really came up with a great gaming console platform that many developers have taken advantage of. This is one of the few places where I have always felt that Apple excels at, great hardware platforms for their OSes!
